Majestic Extendable Dining Table

The table came packed well but was very dirty inside the box with bits of styrofoam in pretty much every crevice imaginable. My finacee was disgruntled and it took him about 3 hours to put it together, 1. because he is meticulous and made sure every crevice was free from all dirt and 2. because the intructions aren't very accurate. By the way, he is extremely difficult to please and is now in awe of our purchas. Initially, I had to push for because he thought it was too cheap to be nice. But since a local West Hollywood, supposedly "discount", retailer is selling similar tables for $1600, I could tell this was the same sort of thing. Anyhow, the glass was so dirty out of the box that it was unimpressive and even a bit discouraging. However, once clean and put together, this table puts those other tables that cost thousands to shame! It is spectacular. There really is no other way to describe it! The quality of the piece makes it appear as if it cost a fortune and when you pull out the extra glass the table is equally gorgeous (if not more so) and can comfortably seat 8! Or 12 if you live in our area. Anyhow, if you are considering this type of piece this thing is a steal. I am still in awe. I think I stared at it for a couple of hours last night in lieu of the TV. Gorgeous!

The table was relatively easy to put together. The washers were missing, but not a big deal. The silver paint had a few drip marks, but what I expected for the price. Overall, a very good purchase...it's really a nice table!

This table is pretty cool, it's certainly sturdy - it weighs about 150 pounds! My biggest complaint - Overstock sent the wrong color! It was a nightmare to return since it's so heavy, but once we got the correct one it was easy to put together. The paint is chipped at one corner, but there's no way we're sending it back again. FYI the table does not really seat six or eight very well without someone sitting at the legs. It's really ideal for two or four. It's also difficult to expand it by yourself, it usually takes me and my husband to do it. But it's a nice table and you can't beat the price/shipping!

After shopping months for a compact and expandable dining/all-purpose table to use in a contemporary media room, we found this great value on Overstock.com. Very sturdy and was easy to assemble. The sliding mechanism is very easy for one person to operate. The silver metal table looks great paired with leather-strap lattice-back dining chairs with dark wood finish. Only a minor complaint regarding the workmanship on the legs: powder coat finish was a bit uneven - or else the aluminum legs were slightly defective - and the bottom protective caps wouldn't completely insert into the leg bottom. Otherwise, a great product which should provide years of stylish use.

I ordered this table a few weeks ago. The metal rods they sent with the table aren't long enough to fit all the way through the leg to be bolted on at the bottom. I called the company and they sent me new rods that were the same size as the originals. They said they only have one size of rod. So I still haven't been able to put my table together and I have to find and spend extra money to get longer rods and be able to put my table together. I could have just gotten a complete dining set for the money I spent on the table.
